Every year, the Quran Institute publishes ample literature which rejuvenates and rekindles the inner passion and vehemence of fellow Muslim brethren to be up and ready for utilizing every single bounty which is offered by this holy month of fasting.
This article aims to discuss the rewards offered to us by Allah (SWT) during the three stages (ashras) of Ramadan, the corresponding supplications and Ramadan 2017 timings across the globe.

3 Stages (Ashras) of Ramadan and Relevant Duas:

According to a saying of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H), “It (Ramadan) is the month, whose beginning is mercy, its middle is forgiveness and its end is emancipation from the fire of hell”.
The significance of this month is, the Holy Quran was revealed on our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) during this month.
The benefits of Quran recitation and Quran learning in this month are countless and the rewards which are specifically reserved for those who learn Quran during Ramadan, are beyond imagination.
Nowadays, tight job schedule has confined a man to the extent that he can’t even find time to go out for some recreation.
In order to provide our fellow with an opportunity to learn and recite the Holy Quran with Tajweed, the Quran Institute has started its own program in this regard.
We provide the subscribers with the best teachers who not only teach you recitation, but also align your tajweed so that you can recite it in correct tone.
Let’s have an insight into the three ashras and figure out how to utilize the Muslims’ fasting month for gaining rewards and benefits as promised to us by Allah (SWT).

a.First Stage (Ashra):

Every stage of Ramadan comprises ten days. The first ten days are meant to seek for mercy from Allah Almighty. All we need to do is to keep reciting the following dua in the first ashra and Allah will grant mercy and will absolve us from all sins we have committed so far.
The translation for the above-mentioned dua is:
“O My Lord! Forgive and have mercy and you are the best of merciful”.
It also means that a Muslim should be merciful to his fellows as well. Demanding mercy and not being the one to practice the act of showing mercy towards others, is nothing but hypocrisy.
Give away charity and show a candid behavior towards others, and you shall have mercy from Allah at once.

b.Second Stage:

Second Ashra of the holy month of Ramadan is that of forgiveness. It is an ashra of demanding forgiveness from the Divine.
The main focus of every Muslim in this ashra should be to act and supplicate in a manner which clearly portrays an attitude which is in dire demand of forgiveness from Allah.
One should not only beg for forgiveness, but also decide to refrain from committing such acts again. The supplication for second Ashra is:
The translation of this dua is:
“I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, from every sin I committed”.
The mid-days of Ramadan are said to be those days in which Allah’s forgiveness is always seem to be at peaks. These days are totally meant for prostration and submitting willfully to every demand of Allah.

c.Third Stage:

The third ashra of holy month of Ramadan is to seek refuge from the fire of hell. Of course Allah has promised every Muslim, the reward of heaven but, after getting punishment of the sins he committed during the course of his life. Nobody wants to go to hell and which is why, the recitation of following dua will become a shield.
The translation of this dua is:
“O Allah! Save me from the hell-fire”.
